It also can't be critiqued like it's literature or even a presidential speech - not by me, at least, since I believe that prayer is talking to God. Even with notes and a mic.

And I think it's safe to assume - that 'showing up' R. Warren never even crossed Dr. Lowery's mind. Or Pastor Warren's, for that matter. I have to assume, from what I read, that they are both sincere, humble men.

Thanks for commenting.betsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14661372862480428752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7863477.post-35730802337446596222009-01-27T22:14:00.000-05:002009-01-27T22:14:00.000-05:00I'd liked it too...but I sure hope we aren't sayin...I'd liked it too...but I sure hope we aren't saying that praying should be competitive. I saw nothing wrong with Rick Warren's prayer either. I don't think anyone got schooled or that the intent of the guy giving the benediction was to school anyone.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7863477.post-69057986510236434512009-01-21T12:15:00.000-05:002009-01-21T12:15:00.000-05:00i agree- that benediction was just awesome.i agree- that benediction was just awesome.Rev.
